The state of education in Tzfas! Letter of Rabbi David Segal, one of the leaders of the Tzfas community and one of the heads of Kollel Kossov, to the Saba Kadisha, Moreinu Rabbi Shlomo Eliezer Alfandari in Yerushalayim. 1927.

In the letter, sent when the Saba Kadisha was already extremely old, he thanks him for a monetary donation of $10 and he blesses the Saba Kadisha with continued good health and abundant sustenance and a fervent wish that we should merit to raise children that are faithful to Hashem and the Torah.

From the wording of the blessing is clear that this was his entire endeavor and vision throughout the evil winds that surrounded Tzfas in those years.
