Letter from the roshei Yeshiva and Rabbonim of Yeshiva “Beis Chassam Sofer” in Tzfas to Maran the great Gaon Rabbi Yosef Chaim Sonnenfeld, the Rov of all Orthodox Jewry in Eretz Yisrael, regarding donations to the Yeshiva. 1911.
The letter opens with a greeting to “the Rav, the Gaon and Tzaddik, known throughout the world, the sage exalted by all, greater than multitudes, etc. Moreinu Rabbi Yosef Chaim Sonnenfeld Shlita”.
In the letter they express thanks for a donation sent to the Yeshiva from Rabbi Moshe Yast of Vrbové, and request further assistance due to the dire situation. Signed are Rabbi Avraham David Wilner of Brezhan, Rabbi Shmuel Tzvi, Rabbi Baruch Ashkenazi, and more; seal of the Yeshiva.
