Confirmation of the marriage of Rabbi Yosef Konsens, one of the ‘Yoshvim’ in the Ger court and from the confidants of Maran the holy Imrei Emes. Written by a scribe and signed by the holy Rabbi Nechemia Alter.
Witnesses to the marriage are the renowned Chassidim Rabbi Yechezkel Milstein and Rabbi Avraham Mordechai Lichtstein – descendent of the Ger Tzaddikim and grandson of the ‘Chiddushei Hari”m’.
In addition, signature of Rabbi Baruch Reuven Yungreis, chief secretary of the city committee and the Beis Din Tzedek, and the signature of Rabbi Zissel Mordechai Goldberg, secretary, as well as the seal of the Beis din.
The holy Rav, Rabbi Nechemia Alter (1875-1942). The third son of the holy Maran the ‘Sfas Emes’ of Ger, brother of Maran the holy ‘Imrei Emes’ and the father-in-law of the holy ‘Lev Simcha’ of Ger. His only grandson is Maran the current Admor of Ger Shlit”a. Served as Rosh Yeshiva of the Sfas Emes yeshiva in Jerusalem in its early years. From his father-in-law’s side he was the grandson of the holy Rav the Saraf of Kotzk and his grandson Rabbi Hirsch of Łomazy and of the holy miracle-worker Rabbi Yaakov Aryeh of Radzimin. A wonderous Gaon and holy Tzaddik of whom Tzaddikim said that he observed wholeheartedly the verse ‘אשרי איש שלא ישכחך ובן אדם יתאמץ בך’. Was greatly admired by the Ger Chassidim and by other Chassidim as well.
