Wonderous letter full of blessings, handwritten by the Mekubal and hidden Tzaddik Rabbi Yosef Waltuch – sent to his close friend the Gaon and wonderous Tzaddik Rabbi Yehuda Zerachia Segal, Rabbi of Kiryat Shalom in Tel Aviv – Elul, 1957.
In his letter, Rabbi Waltuch sends his blessings to Rabbi Segal: “…May it be the will that I will say a word that is accepted, and I am certain of Hashem, who holds the key of children in his hand, that certainly this coming year Hashem will visit you with a viable male child… and ‘at this time next year Sarah will bear a son’, and ‘before she even feels her labor pains she will give birth, and before any travail comes to her she will deliver a son’, ‘she who delivers a son like Rabbi Shimon is worthy of giving birth’. And that which he writes that he saw Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai is a very good sign. In the Idra is written: ‘he who sees Rabbi Shimon has seen the joy of all worlds’…”
Further on Rabbi Waltuch requests from Rabbi Segal: “I request from his Torah’s honor to mention me in his prayers on the High-holy Days and the sacred holidays which are upon us, and especially during Sukkot when he sits in the Sukkah together with the holy Ushpizin…”
