A pleasing smell for Hashem – incredible Segulah! The snuffbox used constantly by the holy Gaon, elder of the Mekubalim, Rabbi Yitzchak Kaduri.

This is the snuffbox which the Gaon and Mekubal, elder of Mekubalim, Rabbi Yitzchak Kaduri used during his exalted workings, made his heavenly connections, and affected miracles.

The snuffbox passed on to his son and successor, Rabbi David Kaduri, Rosh Yeshiva of the Kabbalist Yeshiva ‘Nachlat yitzchak’.
The box has remnants of snuff in it.

Smelling snuff was a hallowed and significant part of the toil of Tzaddikim and Chassidim. The Gemara already mentions the spiritual nature of smell, and the Kabbalists said of the power of smell that it had not been defiled already in the days of the Mabul. “And Hashem smelled the pleasing aroma, and Hashem said in His heart: ‘I will not continue to curse again.’…”

The Kabbalist Rabbi Yitzchak Kaduri (1899-2006) greatest of the Mekubalim in the last generation. In his childhood he still merited to see Maran the Ben Ish Chai. Studied Torah and Kaballah from the sages of Babylon and the sages of Yerushalayim to which he emigrated in 1922. During his early years in Yerushalayim he made his living from binding Seforim while studying in the Yeshivot ‘Beit El’ and ‘Porat Yosef’. While binding the Seforim, he also studied their contents, committing it to memory. In time, his greatness in the studies of the hidden Torah became known, and many traveled to his home to receive his advice and blessings, as well as amulets for protection. This flow grew exponentially throughout his years, and in the last years of his life his home was flooded by those who flocked to receive his blessings.
