Letter of greetings, written on beautiful blue paper, sent to R’ Avraham Moshe de Lima upon his joining the management of “Clerks and Merchants” in Amsterdam, with an appointment “Crown of Gabbai” and permission to act on behalf of the Collel, sent by the heads of the Chabad Chassidim in the holy cities of Yerushalayim and Chevron.

On the letter shine the signatures of the leading members of the Chabad community in the Holy Land: the holy gon Rabbi Shimon Menashe Chaikin, Rabbi Shneur Zalman Fundaminsky, Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Slonim, and Rabbi Avraham Manahus.

With two seals: “Seal of the Ashkenazi community of Chabad in Chevron” and “Seal of the elders of the Chabad Collel and residents of Yerushalayim and Chevron”. On the Collel Chabad seal is a rare occurrence: Next to the names of the names of the fathers are also the names of the mothers. In the Chabad Elders seal it says “who beseech for their relatives”.

The holy Gaon Rabbi Shimon Menashe Chaikin (1802-1892). Raavad of Chevron. In his youth he immigrated to the Holy Land from Shklow and settled in Tzfas. From the first of the Chabad Chassidim to settle in Chevron, after the Mitteler Rebbe ordered the Chassidim to do so. Founded a special Beis Din for the Chabad community in Chevron and headed it. All issues of the community were decided by him.

The Gaon and Chossid Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Slonim, son of Rabbi Yaakov Slonim and the Rebbetzin Menucha Rachel (daughter of the Mitteler Rebbe). Born in 1833, emigrated from Russia with his parents at the age of 12. Starting in 1865 he was community head, and managed all the issues of Collel Chabad in Chevron, and nothing was done in Chevron without his involvement. Passed away in Nissan of 1895.

The Gaon and Chossid Rabbi Shneur Zalman Fundaminsky, son-in-law of Rabbi Yaakov Slonim. From the leaders of the Chabad community in Yerushalayim and Chevron.
