Rabbi Yehuda Leib Shneerson (1850-ca. 1924) was the son of Admor Rabbi Yitzchak Duber of Lyadi (son of Admor Rabbi Chaim Shneur Zalman of Lyadi, son of the Tzemach Tzedek) and son-in-law of Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Zalmanson (son-in-law of the Tzemach Tzedek). Served as Rabbi of Homil and Sirotina. Starting in 1906 he began serving as a Moreh Tzedek in Vitebsk, where he was prominent among the city’s Rabbonim. Continued serving in Vitebsk also during the Communist era. (Vitebsk, the Community Book, pg. 189.)
