The epitome of Hiddur in Tefillin! Tefillin written by the master scribe the Chossid and Tzaddik Rabbi Nachman Papirna – the Tefillin scribe of the holy Rebbe Rayatz and the holy Rebbe of Lubavitch.

In 1929, when the holy Rebbe Rayatz came to Yerushalayim, he requested after the holy Tzaddik, the famous scribe Rabbi Nachman Sofer, who had studied the art of STa”M by the renowned Chossid and Mashpi’a Rabbi Mordechai Sofer (the Rebbe mentions him several times as the transferrer of the legacy of proper scribecraft, see ‘Hitkashrut’, vol. 237).

The Rebbe Rayatz asked him to write Parshiot both for him, as well as for his sons-in-law. The Lubavitcher Rebbe was stringent to only use these Tefillin which he received from his father-in-law.

The script used in the Tefillin is Beit Yosef. As is known, the Rebbe kept encouraging the revival of the script as ruled by the Alter Rebbe and using it.

Luxurious and elegant writing, as is the style of Rabbi Nachman Sofer, whose Tefillin were sought after by all the giants of the generation, as he was renowned for his piety, holiness, and exalted handwriting.

The giants of the generation all spoke highly of the nobility of the Tefillin written by Rabbi Nachman Sofer Papirna, from the lofty Tzaddikim of Yerushalayim, and attributed to them many Segulos.

The tefillin boxes themselves are also important and original. Original, old straps, which had been repainted in the past. A small amount of wear, which does not invalidate the straps.

Specifications: Full length (including the מעברתא): 8cm. The בית itself: 6x6cm. Inside height: ~4cm. Parchment height: 3cm.

The hand Tefillin were opened and checked.  The head Tefillin were written by a different scribe, and are also of high quality.

Luxurious, original, and extremely rare.
