The Hadas was given by the sexton, the illustrious Rabbi Meir Horlig, who was entrusted with bringing the Minim to and from the Rebbe. Rabbi Horlig gifted the Hadas to one of the leading Chassidim of Chabad in Eretz Yisrael (affidavit enclosed). This piece of myrtle is the last surviving one.

As is known from the sacred Seforim, the remnants left over from the 4 Minim are a segula for protection and success, based on the words of the Gemara in tractate Sukkah (pg. 38/b): “Remnants of a Mitzvah protect from disaster”. Especially from the Rebbe, the Nasi of the generation, whose holy work during the shaking of the Minim was well known.
