Sefer Tanya which was printed in a special edition, with photos of the various editions of Tanya printed until then. Printed specially in honor of the Rebbe’s 80th birthday. New York, 11 Nissan, 1982.
Original binding. Missing spine was replaced with a luxurious leather spine, giving the Sefer a prestigious look.
On the title page is a notation: “I received from the Rebbe’s holy hands, eve of the 12th of Nissan, 1982. Yitzchak Fisch”.
Regarding this edition: On the 11th of Nissan, 5742 (Apr. 4, 1982), close to the end of the Hisva’adus, the Rebbe announced that a special edition of the Tanya (in which were printed the title pages of all the editions printed worldwide) and a Dollar bill would be distributed to al those who participated in the Hisva’adus – as a token of appreciation of their participation.
The distribution began right after the Hisva’adus and continued until the early morning hours of the following day.
