The “28th of Sivan – Jubilee Pamphlet” is an historic pamphlet in Chabad, which gives an overview of the rescue of the Rebbe and Rebbetzin, together with a collection of Sichos which the Rebbe had said regarding that event and the transfer of the center of Chabad to the “lower hemisphere”.
The pamphlet contains over a hundred pages with a short historical overview of: the activity undertaken for the rescue of the Rebbe and the Rebbetzin; a description and short points from the first Hisva’adus the Rebbe held in the US, a short biography of the Rebbe, a collection of Sichos which the Rebbe gave in relation to the 9th of Adar – the day the Rebbe Rayatz arrived in the US in 1940 – and regarding the 28th of Sivan, regarding the work in the “lower hemisphere” (the US), and more. Additionally, other Ma’amarim of Chassidus from the Rebbe, which had previously been published in honor of the 28th of Sivan, were also included.
Regarding this pamphlet: In preparation for the 28th of Sivan 1991, the 50-year anniversary of the Rebbe’s arrival in the US, Some of the “Temimim” initiated the publication of a special pamphlet to commemorate the event, one that will include Sichos and other related topics. The initiative was welcomed by the Rebbe, who proofread the pamphlet. On Monday, the 28th of Sivan, the Rebbe spent time at the Ohel, and returned to 770 towards evening. After Ma’ariv, and after two Sichos which the Rebbe gave that evening, the distribution of the pamphlets and Dollars began – and lasted till 12:30AM (taken from and based on the article on this pamphlet at chabdpedia).
