Early set of “Chanukah Gelt” from the Rebbe containing two – 1 Lira coins – “Coins for blessing and success for the children of Israel”.
As is known, the Rebbe encouraged and expounded on continuing this custom, and over the years distributed Chanukah Gelt to the public many times.
This set was distributed as part of a “Chinuch Operation” which the Rebbe announced in 1976. It is extremely rare as it contains two coins of 1 Israeli Lira
